Stop press!! Brand new to the UK.

A first for Code n Chips, the Volkswagen ID.3 launched in the UK on Friday 18th September 2020. By Monday 21st September 2020, this car had undergone the Ultimate Detailing Package here in Rugby. It was delivered direct from the VW showroom to our studio.

After a wash & machine polish, three layers of ceramic coating were applied to give the car a durable hard shell to protect against minor scratches and swirl marks.  Another bonus to a ceramic coating is the beading effect of water. Surface spray and rain just runs off, taking a lot of the dirt with it. Therefore, less cleaning, staying shiny and avoiding scratches.  Unlike traditional waxes, that only last 3-6 months at best.  The ceramic coating we use will last over 2 years, with just a light top up spray every 6 months.

All body panels, alloys and windows were given a ceramic coating.  The lights had a nano-technology sealant applied, which again repels water and dirt.  More details can be found here: ID.3 Project
